What is Graviton?
Graviton is a custom ARM-based processor designed by Amazon for delivering significant performance and efficiency gains, and best suited for workloads running in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). While a better price point translates to reduced costs for solutions, as cloud computing needs of organizations grow, it becomes a challenge to sustain benefits, profitability, and rapid growth. AWS Graviton changes this by optimizing cost and performance
AWS Graviton processors are specifically developed for cloud applications that run at scale. Graviton also delivers a broad range of workloads, including high-performance computing, application servers, micro-services, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions, in-memory caches, open-source databases, and gaming.
The Techpartner team has exclusive expertise on ARM-based Graviton processors. Over 150+ workloads have been migrated to run on Graviton. Techpartner team has been able to migrate some key technologies for our clients. The application stack running on Graviton include Java, Node.js, Angular and Python. Data backends like Redis, MySQL, Memcache and MongoDB leverage the cost and performance efficiency of Graviton instances. Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus and Zabbix are deployed on Graviton ARM64 processor instances.
Next Generation AWS Capabilities using Graviton Processors
Graviton processors offer a more cost-effective solution compared to conventional x86-based instances, resulting in significant cost savings for users. Many popular AWS services support AWS Graviton-based instances with significant price performance benefits and ease of use. Examples include Amazon Aurora, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon MemoryDB, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon OpenSearch, Amazon EMR, AWS Lambda, and AWS Fargate.
